Green-Rainbow/NE Green Party at the Boston Oct 27 Mobilization to End the Occupation of Iraq

UPDATE: Our table will be in the table area on the left side of the stage. However, we will still assemble on the right side of the stage for the march.

The Green-Rainbow Party and the other New England green parties will have a contingent at the Oct 27th New England Mobilization to End the War in Iraq. Please register so we have an idea how many people will be joining us.

The rally begins at 12:00 noon on the Boston Common. We will assemble on the right side of the crowd as you face the speakers. The march begins at 2:00 PM and should end at back at the Boston Common after 3:00 PM.

Transportation Information

The Rally will take place on the Boston Common in Boston. Here are details on how to get there.

By Train

Public Transit (Boston-area): The Boston Common is situated on the MBTA mass transit. Take the Green Line (Subway) to the Boston Common stop.

Public Transit (Greater Boston): Take your local commuter rail train into Boston and take the subway to Boston Common. From North Station, take the Green Line. From South Station, take the Red Line to Park Street and change to the Green Line and take that to Boston Common. Visit http://www.mbta.com/ for more information.

From Maine: Take the Amtrak Downeaster. It leaves Portland at 8:15 AM. When you get into North Station, take the Green Line to Boston Common. The full schedule. Trains leave Boston from North Station at 5:00, 6:25 and 11:20 PM.

From New Hampshire: Take the Amtrak Downeaster. It leaves Dover at 9:14 AM and Durham and Exeter soon after. When you get into North Station, take the Green Line to Boston Common. The full schedule. Trains leave Boston from North Station at 5:00, 6:25 and 11:20 PM.

From Rhode Island: Take the Northeast Corridor. To get into Boston, you will need to take either the 9:46 AM (all) or 10:51 AM (Providence only). When you get into South Station, take the Red Line to Park Street and change to the Green Line to get to Boston Common. The full schedule. From Connecticut: Take the Northeast Corridor. To get into Boston, you will need to take either the 8:33 AM (all) or 9:30 AM (New Haven only). When you get into South Station, take the Red Line to Park Street and change to the Green Line to get to Boston Common. The full schedule. By Car

Parking is limited in Boston, even on a Saturday, so we recommend that you take the train. There are a number of MBTA parking lots that you can use. Visit MBTA Parking for more information.

If you need to drive, then you can get directions. There is a parking garage underneath Charles St. between the Boston Common and the Public Garden. It is likely to be full or possibly blocked.
